It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Our Story

We had long wanted to develop a restaurant concept centered around making people feel special. We had travelled the world sampling the most amazing restaurants but wanted to bring home something that touched the edges of fine dining yet remained accessible.

Somewhere you can be yourself, but provides VIP service to all regardless if you are famous, were famous, almost famous, never famous or “will be” famous. Our goal is to capture that elusive balance between sophistication and simplicity, elegance and ease, whimsicality and wonder — and if you know us well, a touch of mischievous. A place where we would go if one of our good friends’ owned a fancy restaurant where we could (almost) do what we want. A place where we take what we do seriously, but we don’t take ourselves seriously. A place where an elevated, level of hospitality is available for all our guests to feel fabulous and where the finer things are covered. 

When a beautiful historic building in downtown Calgary became available, we knew we had found the perfect home. Originally constructed in 1893, the building was originally occupied by the Calgary Herald, the oldest running newspaper in the city. We signed our lease right in the middle of a worldwide pandemic.  And while restauranteurs have never been known for being the smartest bunch, we figured that that the time was just right to celebrate getting together again and feeling good.
