Beneath FinePrint Restaurant on Stephen Avenue Mall in Calgary, Heavily Redacted is an intimate owners’ lounge offering rare spirits, bespoke cocktails and the luxury of privacy with a no-photo policy. Once invitation-only, a limited number of reservations are released each week to welcome innovators, outliers, achievers and FinePrint regulars.

The Commandments of Heavily Redacted:

Discretion is absolute - what happens here, stays here.

No photos, no video - except in the Vault.

Respect the space, the experience and each other.

Embrace new connections. We encourage meeting other guests.

Curate, don’t accumulate. Quality over quantity in all things.

Elevate, don’t imitate. We set the standard, never follow it.

Access to Heavily Redacted has always been limited and selective. For those who’ve become part of its fabric, we are introducing a “Patronage” program for 2026.

Patronage (membership) is not a purchase — it is an invitation. It ensures access to what is otherwise elusive: the Vault, the curated Fine Spirits Wall, TasteLab, and priority entry on the rare nights HR admits a handful of outside guests.

It is not for everyone. Annual membership carries a fee that supports the cellblock and the rare collection we maintain, but the true value is the assurance of belonging where others cannot. For further information, you are welcome to fill out the attached form.

Upon receipt of your submission, our team will carefully review all entries to select the individuals who best align with the exclusive experiences we offer. PLEASE ALLOW US UP TO 30 DAYS FOR A RESPONSE while we conduct our due diligence.

If you are selected, you will receive an invitation, membership details and an upcoming schedule. You must sign up for news and updates to be contacted and please ensure you check your email spam folders for a response from hr3dact@fineprintyyc.com. Those that are waitlisted for a significant period are welcome to re-apply.

We appreciate your interest and look forward to potentially welcoming you to Heavily Redacted. Frequently Asked Questions are below:

FAQs

is heavily redacted a speakeasy?

Heavily Redacted is not a speakeasy — there is no attempt to hide it. It is an owners’ lounge beneath FinePrint, where most access is by invitation. On select nights, however, a very limited number of reservations are quietly released through our booking platform. Securing one is a matter of timing and luck — they disappear quickly, and that scarcity is by design.

HOW DO I BECOME AN INVITED GUEST?

Become a FinePrint regular guest or apply through this website.

when is it open?

HR is generally open Thursday through Saturday evenings. However, access is never guaranteed. The lounge is also reserved at times for private events, parties, or curated evenings. Availability is limited and always at our discretion.

what is the dress code?

Simply put: Fabulous. Think elevated, stylish and effortlessly confident - whatever makes you feel like the best version of yourself. We’re not prescriptive, but this is not the place for casual wear. Dress to impress, because the room - and the company - always deserves it.

Why are there seats on OpenTable if HR is private?

For convenience, our booking system is integrated with FinePrint. A very limited number of seats are made available through it — not as an open invitation, but as a controlled release. They are few, and they disappear quickly.

HOW ARE INVITES AND PRIORITY RATINGS ESTABLISHED?

The Heavily Redacted invitation process has been thoughtfully curated to provide FinePrint regulars and our most valued guests with an exclusive experience. We curate each night like an executive house-party, ensuring the room is filled to “comfortable capacity” with a balanced variety of friends, professionals, creatives and outliers.

While the methodology behind most invitations is confidential, factors such as being well-presented, supporting the experience with thoughtful engagement, mingling effortlessly, and maintaining a positive attitude can enhance ones priority. Conversely, frequent last-minute cancellations, no-shows, failure to follow rules or directions, problematic or high-maintenance behavior, or inappropriate dress may result in deprioritization or removal from the invite list entirely.
